YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: A suspect wanted in connection with the thefts of credit cards from lockers at a Route 4 fitness club walked into the waiting arms of Paramus police when he returned — apparently to strike again, authorities said.

Detective Glen Pagano pegged 21-year-old Grant Miller of Wallington after he used some of the cards, Paramus Police Chief Kenneth Ehrenberg said this afternoon.

Pagano and other detectives have been investigating a series of thefts from lockers at fitness areas throughout Paramus, the chief said.

One occurred on June 29 at 24-Hour Fitness on Route 4. Miller became a suspect after using cards stolen that day, Ehrenberg said.

Investigators are also eyeing him for other fitness club thefts, the chief said.

A week ago Tuesday, Pagano got a tip that Miller planned to return to 24-Hour Fitness, he said. Officers were waiting as he left the building and took him into custody.

Miller was being held on $10,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail, charged with burglary and theft of credit cards.

Records show he’s also wanted out of Newark on a $5,000 drug possession warrant.
