YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: A former Elmwood Park schools summer camp counselor and his brother were busted with nearly five pounds of pot and just over an ounce of MDMA, along with scales and various other drug distribution tools, during a raid last night at their parents’ home.
Borough police also seized $30,000 in alleged drug proceeds.
Michael Kekovski, 20, who lives with his family, was being held on $350,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail following his arrest just after 8:15 p.m.
His brother, 25-year-old travel company sales manager Alex Kekovski, was released on a summons after police found him with a small amount of pot and drug paraphernalia, , Capt. Michael Foligno told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.
Detectives were working other investigations when Michael Kekovski’s name came up, prompting surveillance and “other investigative methods” over the past six weeks, the captain said.
He was charged with various drug possession and distribution charges, including for distributing drugs within 1,000 feet of a school — Gilbert Avenue Elementary.
