YOU SAW IT HERE FIRST: A 45-year-old Ridgewood woman sustained a broken leg after being struck by an SUV this morning.
The woman was crossing South Broad Street near Hudson Street when she was struck by a Honda Pilot just before 9 a.m.
She was taken by ambulance to The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood.
The driver, a 42-year-old woman also from Ridgewood, was issued a summons for failing to yield, Police Chief John Ward told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.
Ridgewood police, fire and EMS units, along with a paramedic unit from The Valley Hospital, all responded.
Portions of South Broad and Hudson Streets remained closed for more than a half-hour while crews worked to aid the victim and investigate the incident.
