YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: A nursing home employee from Elmwood Park had sex with a teenage girl who he also pimped out to other men, Bergen County authorities have charged.
Oneil Reid, 43, began by molesting the girl in Elmwood Park in 2009, when she was 15, an indictment returned by a grand jury in Hackensack alleges.
A year later, he raped her, the 12-count indictment says.
Sexual assaults followed in Englewood, Teaneck and Elmwood Park through November 2012, it says, adding that Oneil obstructed the investigation.
Detectives from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Special Victims’ Unit and Elmwood Park police arrested Oneil in late January.
Reid, who is single, remained held on $200,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail.
The indictment charges him with:
- aggravated criminal sexual contact;
- four counts of sexual assault;
- four counts of impairing or debauching the morals;
- promoting prostitution;
- child abuse;
- obstruction.
