A Englewood firefighter was one of several who tried to keep a three-alarm blaze from destroying his home this afternoon.
Kevin Wilson remained with the pumper truck, fulfilling his assignment, during the West Palisade Avenue fire, which blew through the attic and second floor.
Wilson (left in inset photo, above) said he lived on the first floor 2½-story, wood frame house and had upstairs tenants who got out in time, emergency responders said.
Firefighters from several towns, including Bergenfield, Hackensack, Teaneck and Tenafly assisted.
