BEYOND BERGEN: A woman fainted and fell into the side of a moving PATH train this morning at the Newport station in Jersey City, authorities said.
The 23-year-old Hazlet resident “fell into the moving train car but did not fall into the track area,” the Port Authority’s Joseph Pentangelo said.
Port Authority police and EMS were quickly at the scene of the 9:25 a.m. mishap.
The woman was taken to Jersey City Medical Center for evaluation of an injured leg, Pentangelo said.
Initial service delays were roughly 15 minutes.
