UPDATE: A 54-year-old New York man stopped his car in the middle of the GWB’s upper level, got out and jumped to his death this morning, Port Authority police said.
His body was recovered from the Hudson River a half-hour later and brought to the 125th Street pier, the authority’s Joseph Pentangelo told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.
Bicyclists on the George Washington Bridge told police the man stopped his 2002 Mazda Tribute SUV around 10 a.m., then went over the side.
