ONLY ON CVP: Police suspected a 70-year-old Allendale man was under the influence when he crashed his sedan into his garage last night.
The Colonial Drive resident was taken to The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood by ambulance after complaining of difficulty breathing following the 9 p.m. crash.
Members of the Allendale Fire Department’s Heavy Rescue team shored up a structural support beam so that the home could remain occupied after being struck by the 2011 Hyundai Elantra.
The Allendale building sub-code official also responded, along with borough police and EMS workers.
