ONLY ON CVP: A 31-year-old Hackensack woman ejected from her Jeep during a road-slicked crash in Wyckoff yesterday was home recuperating today — and counting her blessings.

She also had a few choice words for critics on social media who zeroed in on a police claim that she wasn’t wearing her seat belt yesterday morning when her 2005 Liberty spun out and hit a utility pole on northbound Route 208, snapping it and ejecting her.

“For you all you people calling me a dumb ass and hoping I get a summons: karma’s a bitch and shame on yourselves!” Nicole Laskau wrote on CLIFFVIEW PILOT‘s Facebook page.

After 8½ hours in the trauma unit at Hackensack University Medical Center, Laskau was discharged with a broken nose and “some lacerations, bruises, cuts, and scrapes.”

“They still need to look at my jaw,” she said. “And I have to meet with a plastic surgeon.

“I’m pretty sure I was belted in,” Laskau told CLIFFVIEW PILOT. “[H]owever I don’t know how it got undone, probably wasn’t in tight.”

The Jeep, meanwhile, was totaled.

The police report sparked a couple of critical comments that CLIFFVIEW PILOT later removed from its Facebook page.

Friends and even strangers also leapt to Laskau’s defense.

“People are so quick to be judgmental & cold hearted,” wrote Jayme Vecchione. “As an ICU nurse, I see a lot of horrible [stuff] in this world & perhaps that’s why I am not so fast to judge….All the a**holes quick to call names & talk sh*t about seatbelts, i assume you are perfect in all aspects of your life & never make any mistakes in this world?!”

Laskau had her say, as well: “It could [have] been your daughter, son, niece, nephew, grandchild, or friend!” she wrote. “But it was me!”

“Getting ejected [from] a car and surviving is no joke!” she added. “[C]learly you all are perfect; and for the ones who actually cared enough, defended me, and cared to see how I was feeling, I thank you!”

Today Laskau told CLIFFVIEW PILOT: “I consider myself very blessed and lucky to be alive.”

She even joked with friends.

“Who knew I could fly?” Laskau said.
