YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: A Union City man already accused of stalking, molesting and threatening to kill a woman 17 years older than him was arrested on charges of having sex with a 15-year-old girl.
George E. Bolzoni, 27, was free on bail after Delaware State Police said they caught him with more than 10 pounds of marijuana in his car trunk last month when detectives grabbed him on statutory rape charges Monday after interviewing the girl, Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said this morning.
Bolzoni, of 43rd Street, was indicted just last week on charges of grabbing a 44-year-old Fair Lawn woman’s vagina “over her clothes to degrade or humiliate [her] for sexual gratification” last Oct. 28. It says he also stalked and threatened to kill her.
This time, authorities said, he had sex with the underage teen in a car in Hasbrouck Heights and in Wood-Ridge in late December.
“The victim disclosed what had occurred to her parents, who brought her to Hackensack University Medical Center for a sexual assault examination,” Molinelli said today.
Hasbrouck Heights police were notified, as was the prosecutor’s Special Victims Unit. Members of both then interviewed her at Molinelli’s Paramus office before arresting Bolzoni.
He remained held on $250,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail, charged with two counts of sexual assault and two of child endangerment.
Bolzoni was arraigned on the Hasbrouck Heights charge in Municipal Court there on Monday. An arraignment in Wood-Ridge was scheduled for next Thursday.
Bolzoni, who Molinelli said is single and unemployed, was graduated from Weehawken High School and studied physical education at Kean University.
The pending indictment charges him with “attempted significant bodily injury” to the woman “under circumstances manifesting extreme indifference to the value of human life,” court records in Hackensack show.
It also alleges that Bolzoni threatened to kill her “under circumstances reasonably causing her to believe the immediacy of the threat and the likelihood that it will be carried out,” and that he “engaged in a course of conduct directed at [her], which would reasonably cause her to fear for her safety or the safety or another.”
Bolzoni was awaiting trial on the charges when Delaware State Police said they stopped his Chevy Malibu the night of Jan. 30 in Laurel.
After getting his consent to search the car, they said, they found the pot in nine vacuum-sealed packages labeled “Grand Daddy” and divided into a trio of sealed cardboard mailing boxes.
Bolzoni later posted $20,500 bail and was released from the Sussex Correctional Institution.
