YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: Firefighters quickly knocked down a fire that blew through an Englewood attic last night. No serious injuries were reported.
The call to 332 West Englewood Avenue came in at 9:23 p.m, within moments of word that a huge fire had hit Rutherford’s downtown (SEE: UPDATE: Several businesses destroyed in Rutherford fire).
The 2½-story house is nearly on the Teaneck border, allowing several mutual aid companies — from Bergenfield, Bogota, Hackensack, Leonia, Teaneck and Tenafly, among others — to converge on the scene.
By 10:45, the blaze was all but out.
